Imaging and Diagnostic Services at Methodist Sugar Land Hospital include a complete spectrum of imaging services, including X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammogram, MRI, CT, ultrasound and more. The majority of our patients are seen on an outpatient basis — whether we are taking X-rays of an emergency room visitor’s possible fracture, performing scans to evaluate a cancer patient’s condition or working with a cardiologist to perform an angiogram or echocardiogram on a heart patient.
The range of patients we see, and the variety of technologies we use, are reflected in the specialization of the technologists, nurses, radiologists and cardiologists practicing here. As we have grown and added new technology, we have developed specialized teams dedicated to those capabilities.
This means that for every procedure, the team of physicians, nurses, and technologists performing and interpreting the scan brings long experience and practice to the case. And ongoing communication between the referring physician and the team in the department is a priority — helping to keep the patient's needs at the top of the list.

Myelogram (a procedure used to view the spine and its nerves)
Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology provides diagnosis and treatment using advanced, minimally invasive radiology techniques. Two examples of interventional radiology include MRI-guided biopsies and some forms of angioplasty.
